Docent Walk-Through With Enrique Chagoya and Jim Nikas

  • Arion Press 1802 Hays Street. The Presidio San Francisco United States (map)

Please join the Grabhorn Institute, artist Enrique Chagoya and Jim Nikas, Director of the Posada Art Foundation, for a guided tour of our exhibition of the political illustrations of the prolific and popular Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913), known for enduring images such as La Calavera Catrina. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the artist from two educators who have cultivated an intimate relationship with his work. The exhibition features nearly seventy selections from the Brady Nikas Collection and Posada Art Foundation, including rarely shown original printing plates and historical prints.

Exhibition on view February 11, 2020 through April 3, 2020. Free and open to the public during business hours, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
